Ladies Auxiliary - 'City of San Diego, This award will serve as a constant reminder of a Job Well Done at The North Park Crash Site, Sept. 25, 1978, V.F.W. 1st District'. PSA flight 182 collided with a Cessna on Sept 25, 1978, their first accident with fatalities. The death toll of 144 made it the deadliest aircraft disaster in California history. The accident caused the revision of air traffic rules applicable to the busiest airports across the U.S.
