Wooden 9 x 12-inch lacquered plaque - 'The First Declaration of Human Rights' - describing the Decree of Cyrus the Great, King of Persia, who was the monarch under whom the captivity of the Jews ended, granting them national and religious freedom in 542 B.C. This was presented to the people of San Diego on 3/20/2004 by Badi Badiozamani, Ph.D, Center for East-West Understanding, Persian Cultural Center.
