Wooden plaque, 7 x 6, with the Coat of Arms of Inverclyde, Scotland, one of the smallest in terms of area and population of the 32 Scottish unitary authorities. It is considered part of Greater Glasgow, although it is physically separated from the city area by open countryside and does not share a border with the city. The name is from the extinct barony of Inverclyde (1897) conferred upon Sir John Burns of Wemyss Bay and his heirs. Donor's name and occasion information were not provided to the City Clerk's office.
