Framed 36 x 26-inch picture of U.S. Naval Hospital Ship the USNS Mercy T-AH-19 presented to Mayor O'Connor by Management and Employees of National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) to commemorate her commission on November 8, 1986. Mercy was built as an oil tanker, the SS Worth, by NASSCO in San Diego in 1976. Starting in July 1984, she was renamed and converted to a hospital ship and launched on 20 July 1985.
