Oil painting of Mt. Fuji, which is located on Honshu Island, the highest mountain in Japan at 12,389 ft. An active stratovolcano that last erupted in 1707 - 1708, Mt. Fuji lies about 60 miles southwest of Tokyo, and can be seen from there on a clear day. The painting is in a wooden frame under glass and measures 22 x 19-inches. This was presented to Mayor O'Connor by representatives of Niyoshi Town, Japan, during her trip to Japan in 1990.
