Ceramic dish depicting a 1856 painting of Niagara Falls by Ferdinand Richardt, artist, inscribed with 'U.S. Department of State'. The Danish-American artist is known in Denmark for his lithographs of manor houses, and in the U.S. for his paintings of Niagara Falls and other landscapes. This was presented to the Mayor by Reta Jo Lewis, Special Representative for Global Intergovernmental Affairs, U.S. State Dept.
