Embroidered artwork of Hmong community members performing various tasks / farming, in a 33 x 32-inch black frame. The month of December was proclaimed as Hmong Heritage Month by the City of San Diego. This was presented in Council by the Hmong Community in San Diego and the Lao Hmong Family Association to recognize the work of their community and to celebrate their 40th Annual San Diego Hmong New Year, a 3-day cultural celebration where families come together to give homage to ancestral spirits and honor to elders.
