30-inch square silk scarf with a floral design and 'British Museum' across the bottom. The British Museum has one of the most comprehensive collections of Japanese culture material in Europe. This was donated by the Mayor of Sendai, Japan, in 1991. Occasion information was not provided to the City Clerk's office.
