Book titled 'The New Wave of U.S. - Japan Relations, Beyond Friction, Tokyo 1987', is a study presenting the findings of a research project assigned to Nomura Research Institute in commemoration of the 19th Japan - America Conference of Mayors and Chamber of Commerce Presidents. The conference, which began in 1951, was designed to foster the advancement of city government, industry and trade in both countries. Donated in 1987, with forwards written by the Mayor of Tokyo and the President of the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce.
