Set of eight 3/4-inch pins promoting the 1998 Winter Olympics held in Nagano, Japan. Officially the XVIII Olympic Winter Games, they were a multi-sport event celebrated from 7 to 22 February 1998. Seventy-two nations and 2,176 participants contested in seven sports and 68 events at 15 venues. These were donated in 1991 when Nagano was selected to host the 1998 Olympics by beating out Salt Lake City. Donor's name was not provided to the City Clerk's office.
