March 5, 2024 Election Results

As a result of the Special Election to fill the vacancy for the Office of the District 4 City Councilmember, Councilmember Henry L. Foster took the Oath of Office for the term ending in December 2026 on April 8, 2024.
The March 5, 2024 Municipal Primary Election had three offices where only one candidate qualified for office and appeared on the ballot. Per San Diego Municipal Code §27.0108, if only one candidate has qualified for the ballot in the Primary Election, the sole qualified candidate receiving votes shall be deemed to be, and declared by Council to be, elected to that office. The following sole qualified candidates’ term of office will commence in December 2024:
Office of Council District 1: Joe Lacava
Office of Council District 5: Marni Von Wilpert
Office of Council District 7: Raul Campillo
