There will only be one Committee meeting this week. The Public Safety Committee will receive an informational report on the Fire Season Outlook and Emergency Preparedness. The Committee will also outline its priorities for the coming calendar year.

Item 1 – Approval of Committee Minutes
Item 2 - Ordinance to Authorize a Contract Extension between the City of San Diego and Brycer, LLC
This item requests approval of a 6-month contract extension with Brycer LLC ending on January 2, 2025 with no additional costs to the City. The company provides a secure cloud based environment where licensed contractors who test and maintain fire protection systems can submit their reports via Brycer’s web portal.

Item 3 – San Diego Fire-Rescue Department 2025 Fire Season Outlook and Emergency Preparedness
The Fire-Rescue Department will present information to the Public Safety Committee regarding staffing levels, coordination efforts with other city departments for fire hazard abatement, and the outlook for the 2025 fire season. The Department’s Wildland Management and Enforcement Program will also be a focus.
Item 4 – Public Safety Committee Priorities for Calendar Year 2025
This item is an opportunity for Committee Members and the public to provide their priorities for the Public Safety Committee for Calendar Year 2025. The feedback will be used to create the annual work plan for the Public Safety Committee.
