I became an EMT in 2003 and a paramedic in 2006 all working in the city of San Diego for Rural Metro/AMR. Prior to entering EMS I was in the US Army for 4 years and studied to be a mechanical engineer.
I began getting involved in CISM after a critical incident when I was in RAP and Pastor Stonier debriefed me which helped immensely. I began taking classes so I could benefit my RAP patients and coworkers in the time of need. I also have served as an associate pastor at a small rural church since 2016. I am always open to listen and help my coworkers on either side of the EMS family as well as our brothers and sisters in SDPD. I hope I can give back the way I have benefited.
After being in the fire/EMS service for 15 years and having to turn for others for help I want to be available for my colleagues through trying times.
