Angela Wells
Special Projects Manager
Angela has served as a Special Projects Manager for the City of San Diego since January of 2019, first for the Office of the Chief Operating Officer and then for the Performance & Analytics Department. Her fun title means Angela gets to take on a wide variety of challenging and rewarding tasks, with her favorite being internal communications for the City’s dedicated workforce of more than 11,000 team members. Angela co-founded the City of San Diego’s LGBTQ+ Employee Alliance and helped establish the City’s Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Working Group. She is a passionate, driven team player who strives for equality within City Hall and throughout San Diego’s communities.
When she isn’t working, Angela coaches a competitive all-star cheerleading team and a professional women’s Ultimate Frisbee team in San Diego. She loves practicing yoga, yelling at the Dallas Cowboys, exploring the Hawaiian Islands, and spending time with her dog (an adorable Shih Tzu mix named Emmitt).
