Location: The Silkies Hike is a 6.5 mile walk around and through the NTC Park and Liberty Station area of Point Loma. This walking event is specifically for service members, to include active duty, veteran, reserve and national guard. The spirit and goal of the event is to bring veterans together, encourage new friendships, networking, and creating a safety net for those who struggle with mental health issues related to military service. in the end we hope to provide and judgment free environment where connections are made, a sense on purpose and community, can be fostered resulting in reducing the staggering rate of suicide within the veteran community.
