Good Friday Walk With the Suffering

The Walk is a re-enactment of Jesus's journey to Calvary on Good Friday. Student actors will depict the Stations of the Cross at several venues in downtown San Diego during the two and a half hour walk that begins(8:30 a.m.) and ends(11:30 am.) at the San Diego Rescue Mission, 120 Elm St. at the corner of Second Avenue. At each stop, guest speakers will reflect and pray about an issue that is causing suffering in our community. Participants will sing hymns along the route.

Location: We will provide from the San Diego Rescue Mission(120 Elm St.) to First Presbyterian Church(320 Date St).; then to St. Joseph Cathedral, 1535 Third Ave.,; then to First Lutheran Church(1420 Third Ave); then to plaza outside City Administration Building(202 C St.); then to Federal Building(Front St.); then to Metropolitan Correctional Center(808 Union St.); then to State Office Building(1350 Front St.); then back to San Diego Rescue Mission for conclusion.
