We are thrilled to announce the 2nd Annual Dia De Muertos Festival En Barrio Logan, which will take place on Sunday, October 27th, 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Barrio Logan Cultural District. Dia De Muertos Celebration in Barrio Logan is a free, family friendly event highlighting the rich culture, traditions, and art of our vibrant community.
At the Dia De Muertos Celebration In Barrio Logan, attendees can enjoy a variety of attractions including delicious food, a bustling market, engaging kids activities and workshops, art installations from local artists, and captivating live performances by Local bands, Mariachi, Baile Folklorico, Danzantes, and much more!
The theme for this years Dia De Muertos Celebration is be Barrio Magico. An enclave with its own legends and stories that have been passed down for generations, Barrio Logan is yet another thread from the same fabric that stretches across and defies made-up border lines and artificial walls. The Barrio is a time capsule where traditions and stories are carried on as a means of self-preservation; it is our very own BARRIO MAGICO."
Location: The event will take place along Logan Avenue and the following cross streets:
- 2060 block of Logan Avenue to the 2030 Block (Culdesac) block of Logan Avenue.
- Cross street 1: S. Evans Street from the intersection of National Avenue to the end of the Culdesac of S. Evans Street.
- Cross Street 2: Sampson Street from the intersection at National Avenue to the intersection of Sampson St and Kearny Avenue.
- S. 26th Street from its conjunction with Logan Avenue to the intersection at National Avenue.
- Sicard Street to from National Avenue to its intersection with S. 26th Street.
