Photo taken in 1941 on Sixth Avenue looking north at B Street. On the left is the historic 12-story building at 1250 Sixth Avenue, which was the home of the San Diego Athletic Club, later Harcourt Brace Jovanovich Publishers (HBJ) and then the World Trade Center. It is now Connections Housing, a one-stop shop for the homeless. The Southern Hotel is on the right, now with restaurants on the ground floor and residential rooms on the upper floors which are available on a monthly basis.
