Framed watercolor, 13 x 17 inches, of a Russian dancer, artist is unknown. A note from the Office of the Mayor beneath the glass reads: 'They said it couldn't be done, Thanks, Maureen'. This was given to an unknown recipient by Mayor O'Connor after a Russian festival held in San Diego closed in 1989, 'Treasures of the Soviet Union', a three-week arts festival. The San Diego Arts Festival was largely the brainchild of Mayor Maureen O'Connor, who dreamed up the event while in Scotland for the 1987 Edinburgh Festival.
