Plaque from 1996 RIMPAC, the Rim of the Pacific Exercise, the world's largest international maritime exercise. It is hosted and administered by the United States Navy. Exercise participants included maritime forces from Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the United States. The plaque measures 9-1/2 x 7-1/2 and was presented to Mayor Golding by RADM H. Kaneda, Comcortflot Four JMSDF (Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force).
