Kai-Awase bivalve 3-inch clamshells displayed on a 10-inch bamboo stand. This is the remake of the toy that women in the court played with in HEIAN period about 1,000 years ago in Japanese history. Spread 360 pairs of shells in the form of a fan and combine them. The paintings are from the illustrated story. They were also thought to be good for your marriage because each shell has only one partner. Donor's name and occasion information were not provided to the City Clerk's office.
