Glass plaque commemorating Horton Park groundbreaking. On November 29, 2012, the City of San Diego and The Westfield Group broke ground on a new world-class urban plaza adjacent to the historic Horton Park in downtown San Diego. It has the logo of the city, 'Mayor Jerry Sanders' and lists the council members by district and 'Horton's Heroes', people who were instrumental in the history of Horton Plaza. This was presented to the Mayor by The Westfield Group on November 29, 2012.
