Tuesday’s City Council meeting features the Consent Agenda, consideration of ceremonial proclamations and the Closed Session. There are no items on the Discussion Agenda, but Councilmembers will hear the City Attorney’s report from the Closed Session, if there is anything to report.

City Council Meeting – October 12, 2021 – 10 a.m.
Seven items fill the Consent Agenda including one item which seeks to adopt the 2022 Legislative Calendar and the FY 2023 Budget Process. Another authorizes the City to apply for a traffic safety and enforcement grant. Other items settle various lawsuits.
Councilmembers will consider six ceremonial proclamations:
Jeff Peters Day – for his work raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Matt Hoyt Day – honoring the co-owner and co-founder of Mission Hills restaurant and bar Starlite, Matt Hoyt, who passed in August
Filipino American History Month – celebrating the traditions, history, languages and values of the people from the Philippines and Filipino Americans
Nancy Maldonado Day – honoring a woman who has led the Chicano Federation for five years
National Coming Out Day – celebrating a day where everyone can feel welcome in being the person that they are, without fear or judgement, and to be loved and accepted no matter what
