The inaugural meeting of the COVID-19 Response and Recovery Committee of the City Council of San Diego begins Monday morning. It was established to bring greater clarity to the City’s efforts to protect public health and create a sustained economic recovery.
COVID-19 Response and Recovery Committee Meeting – March 15, 2021 – 9 a.m.
The committee will be co-chaired by Councilmember Marni Von Wilpert and Council President Jennifer Campbell. Council President Pro Tem Stephen Whitburn and Councilmember Sean Elo-Rivera will also serve on the committee. The agenda contains three items:
Item 1 – Priorities for the Calendar Year 2021 – Committee members and the public can provide priorities for the coming calendar year.
Item 2 – Mayor’s Office COVID-19 Update – The Mayor’s office will provide the latest updates on the City’s COVID-19 response including the status of vaccinations, the housing stability assistance program and small business relief.
Item 3 – County of San Diego COVID-19 Update by Chair Supervisor Nathan Fletcher - The County will present information to update their county-wide COVID-19 vaccine effort including the supply and distribution plan at various sites. In addition, the county will present efforts to reach vulnerable populations with vaccines.
