There is very little on the schedule during the next two weeks, and it's leaving us at "The People's Business" feeling rather empty inside. Like, if there are no ideas to uplift the quality of life in our great city to discuss, then what's the point of even getting out of bed?

*sniff*

We'll have a City Council meeting on Monday, Feb. 24, but the agenda is limited to 11 noncontroversial consent items -- joint-use agreements for school parks, arts-and-culture funding allocations, consulting and design/build contracts, legal settlements, and whatnot. But no items scheduled for discussion. And after Monday, the city will go on a legislative recess until March 9.

*weep*

*sob*

*wail*

No. No! NO!

We will not succumb to despair!

You know why? Because the 11 days from March 9 through March 19 are gonna be absotively LOADED with white-knuckle policy action. Jam-packed council meetings! And committees? Hoo-boy -- Budget, Rules, Environment, Public Safety and Livable Neighborhoods, Active Transportation and Infrastructure, Land Use and Housing! It's gonna be a LEGISLATION HOOTENANNY! Seriously, you'll be begging for a break! Which you will get from March 23 through April 3 when the city embarks on another legislative recess. HOORAY!
