Betty Bangs’ Colors of Inclusion campaign highlights the history, art, and stories of LGBTQ+ BIPOC communities across the region - specifically in Imperial Valley and the South Bay. Centering on the artist's experience as a queer Chicana artist, the campaign aims to engage QTPOC (Queer TransPeople of Color) through an oral history component in collaboration with Lambda Archives to collect and share histories of the mentioned community. The campaign includes creating an art installation in partnership with the community for exhibition at South Bay Pride and an open house held at Imperial Valley LGBT Resource Center.
