The No Burden is He/We/They/She; Start with Dignity campaign objective is to enhance public awareness, knowledge, empathy, solidarity, and understanding and to increase social justice opportunity and engagement to assist communities to take action and make informed decisions in the California Healthy Places Index communities of Brawley, El Centro, Calexico, Chula Vista, National City, Logan Heights. Through creating and illustrating a series of posters, each digitally printed along with limited edition Serigraphs. Each poster image will include typography and imagery to reflect the concepts of justice, housing, voting, immigration, Inclusion, and equality. The theme of "No Burden of He/We/They/She" and the visuals represent human dignity, our responsibility to help one another in solidarity and empathy, and treat each other as part of a community. For Far South/Border North, Sigala is collaborating with Alliance San Diego San Diego.

Anthony Sigala

Anthony Sigala

Anthony Sigala, a contemporary Mexican-American artist intrigued by depicting the human form in its graceful complexity, movement, and many individual cultural identities. A draftsman, illustrator, and designer who uses form, line, movement, composition, and color to push subjects to their essence. He uses various art mediums, expanding his creative process by translating a concept into a visual language. He is a graduate of Art Center College of Design (illustration). His artworks include Mattel Toys, Reebok, Taco Bell, Disney, and numerous publications and municipalities. He has been an artist and educator, believing art and education can transform lives. Sigala has taught visual arts at Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, Pasadena City College, Imperial Valley College, and adult schools. Sigala is based in Brawley, California.
