Grants
Far South/Border North provides grants to artists and cultural practitioners to support the creation of media, outreach, and engagement campaigns to increase public awareness of pressing challenges via a regional, open-call process. Grants are awarded through a competition open to individual artists and cultural practitioners, units of governments, and tribal governments to hire artists and cultural practitioners from San Diego and Imperial counties.

Grantees will each receive funding, mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to public awareness campaigns. Grantees will participate in Social Impact Hub activities, established to provide technical assistance, mentoring, and other support services that will assist the grantees through all phases of their creative process to develop and implement campaign projects.
Grantees will be expected to communicate, connect and support meaningful engagement with designated California Healthy Places Index communities over 12 months. Grantees will implement projects in San Diego and Imperial counties.
