Join us for an unforgettable night of Shakespeare! On Wednesday, November 13th, 2024, Lincoln High School will host Globe for All’s free performance of "As You Like It."

Start the evening with dinner at 5:15 PM, followed by the show at 6:00 PM. This is a unique chance to enjoy professional theatre right in your community, courtesy of SAY San Diego, The Old Globe and Lincoln High School.

As You Like It is a play about finding freedom in a world of oppression. It begins with two sets of brothers at war, and through music, self-expression, love, philosophy, and a little cross-dressing, our characters find peace and liberation in the Forest of Arden. We were inspired by the history of the land we stand on, and dove deep into local archives in our research and preparation. Though our history is checkered with violence, war, oppression, and cruelty, we also found stories of resistance, community, beauty, and preservation. This play is an imagining of alternatives. Perhaps by returning to nature and honoring the collective good, each of us can live exactly as we like it.
