Spirit of the Fourth

Tuesday, July 4, 2023, 6:30am - 5:00pm
This festival is held annually on July 4th, with events occurring throughout the day in Webb Park and other venues in the Rancho Bernardo area. Starting at 9:00 am, we have a Community Fair with booths for organizations and vendors. The Fair also has a Patriotic Pet Contest, Quilt Show, Motor Show and a Veterans Memorial Ceremony. At 3:30 pm we have a parade with about 100 entries.

Location: All locations are in the 92128 Zip Code.
The parade is the only event that takes place on city property. It starts at the intersection of Lomica Drive and Acena Drive, proceeds NNE on Acena Drive to Rancho Bernardo Road. It turns left and proceeds W on the S side of the street to Bernardo Center Drive. It turns left again and goes SSW on the E side of the street to Lomica Drive where it again turns left. The parade disperses on this street.

Other public events take place on private property at Webb Park, behind 16766 Bernardo Center Drive, and on Poway Unified School District property at Rancho Bernardo High School, 13010 Paseo Lucido.

The attendance numbers on the previous page are estimates; we do not sell tickets at any outdoor event. The 5000 peak estimate is for the parade route, which is spread out over 1.25 miles.
