San Diego Holiday Half Marathon

December 14, 2024 The San Diego Holiday Half Marathon is a fast 13.1 mile course that starts on Penasquitos Drive and Carmel Mountain Road, then travels SW along Carmel Mountain Rd (your only real hill at mile 1.5), along the 56 bike path and finishes at the beautiful Torrey Pines State Beach (pictured above!). The race includes a 711-foot net elevation drop along the rolling downhill bike path, which also makes it a personal best candidate. This popular winter half has been a sell-out event every year and sure to sell out for 2024. Get your end-of-the-year PR!!! (USATF Course Cert. CA13129RS)

Location: START LINE: runners line up on Penasquitos Dr at the corner of Penasquitos Dr and Carmel Mountain Rd. Runners head South on Carmel Mountain Rd, then (L) on Rancho Penaquitos Blvd for 200meters, the (R) on the 56 bike path for 9 miles. Runners
come off the 56 bike path at El Camino Real and head North, the (L) on Carmel Valley
Rd. (under I-8) and (L) on Sorrento Valley Rd through gate for 200meter, U-turn out then (L) on Carmel Valley Rd to McGonigle Rd where they turn (L) in the parking lot to the FINISH LINE..
