Additional or replacement black trash, blue recycling and green organic waste recycling containers are available for City-serviced customers and can be purchased online with a credit card. Containers can also be purchased with a credit card and picked up in person by visiting Environmental Services Department, Collection Services Division at 8353 Miramar Place, San Diego, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
City-issued containers are expected to have a lifespan of 10 years. If the container becomes defective before the 10-year warranty is up, a prorated fee will apply to the replacement. More information about customer container eligibility and standards of collection service can be found here.
Black Trash Bins (65 & 95 Gallon)
- $70 one-time fee per container.
- $25 one-time fee per delivered trash container.
Blue Recycling Bins (65 & 95 Gallon)
- If picked up, one additional blue recycling container is available at no cost. Otherwise, there is a one-time $25 delivery fee per recycling container.
Green Organic Waste Recycling Bins (35, 65 & 95 Gallon)
- No cost for first two green bins.
- $25 one-time fee for third green bin.
- $50 one-time fee for fourth and more green bins.
- $25 one-time fee per delivered container.
