Silent Movie Collection (1926-1935)
This silent movie collection consists of thirty minutes and forty seconds of silent recordings of the varying events in the City of San Diego and the surrounding cities. The "Silent Movie Collection" features a wide variety of popular and illustrative current events in that decade. These silent recordings consist of digital files transferred from 16mm film reels, allowing approximately 24 frames per second. The use of 16mm film was introduced in the 20s and was typically utilized by amateurs producing experimental films.
