Aerial photo of University of San Diego buildings and campus. USD was created in 1972 with the merging of the 1949 College for Women and 1954 College for Men and the School of Law. Today, the University of San Diego is a nationally ranked Catholic institution with more than 800 faculty members and 7,800 undergraduate, graduate and law students. The 180-acre campus now houses buildings that encompass more than two million square feet.
