Youth Taming the Wild, a bronze statue next to the San Diego Museum of Art created in 1927 by Anna Hyatt Huntington [1876-1973], who also created the El Cid sculpture in the park. The sculpture depicts a young man standing beside and attempting to calm a bucking horse. Anna Huntington was a famous American sculptor remembered for being the first woman to create a public monument in New York City.
