Photo of part of the mural in the Balboa Park Club Building titled 'Progess of Man' by artist Belle Baranceanu (1902 - 1988). The oil on canvas was painted in 1935 for the California Pacific Exposition under the Federal Art Project of the Works Progress Administration (WPA). It is one of only two of her murals to survive in the original location. The Balboa Art Conservation Center plans to restore the work to its 1935 original state.
