Morse-Pierce building at Sixth and F Streets, designed by architects Comstock and Trotsche. Their office was housed in this building and Ephraim W. Morse also occupied a suite of rooms there, who was politically active and partially responsible for the expansion of New Town, now downtown San Diego. The building was demolished in the 1950's. The photo was taken by Herve Friend for Douglas Gunn's 1887 book 'Picturesque San Diego'.
