The McGurck Block at 611 Fifth Avenue at Market Street. Built in 1880, it was named after Edward McGurck. The first tenant of the Italianate Revival building was Speyer-Lesem Dry Goods, operating until 1891. After that Alda and Claire Ferris operated their Ferris and Ferris Drug Store until 1984. It was restored as part of the Gaslamp Quarter preservation. The ground floor is now restaurant.
