Granger Building Circa 1970, showing Zale's Jewelers' storefront. The Romanesque-style Granger Building opened in 1904. Over the years, this building has served downtown San Diego as a bank, office space, and even played host to animals for the World Famous San Diego Zoo. Restored as part of the Gaslamp Quarter preservation, it is now home to executive suites and retail space at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway.
