Exterior view of the Balboa Park Recital Hall. There is one large, open hall with a stage and a high truss beamed ceiling. It is approximately 5,400 sq. ft. and can be rented for events. It was originally part of a large unit built for the 1935-36 California Pacific Exposition called the Palisades Building, which became the Hollywood Motion Picture Hall of Fame for the exposition. After World War II, the building was divided into three sections: the recital hall, an arts and crafts center, and a 234-seat theater (now the Puppet Theater).
