The following Building & Land Use Enforcement notices can be appealed within 10 calendar days of the issue date:

• Administrative Citations
• Administrative Abatement Notice and Order
• Notice of Boarded and Vacant Structure Penalty
• Intent to Record a Notice of Violation
• Relocation Cost for Notice and Order to Vacate

How to Request an Appeal?

Follow the Instructions included in the document issued.  Direct all questions to the assigned investigator or inspector listed on your notice.  

Administrative Hearings 

Accepted appeals will be scheduled for an Administrative Hearing, which is specifically authorized or required by municipal ordinances contained in Chapter 1 of the San Diego Municipal Code that govern administrative enforcement actions.
