Daniel Mendoza was born and raised in San Diego. He graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in economics with an emphasis in public policy. Mr. Mendoza is a proud alumnus of the Barrio Logan College Institute, a local non-profit that helps low-income students become the first in their family to go to college.

Mr. Mendoza is currently a paralegal at the Immigration Center for Women and Children, which is a local non-profit organization that provides immigration legal services to the most vulnerable members of our community. Mr. Mendoza has previously held roles at San Diego State University as Research Assistant, the United States Small Business Administration as a Loan Officer, and Jewish Family Service as the Immigration Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator.

Mr. Mendoza is passionate about being an advocate for his community through his work with the Commission on Police Practices. He hopes to be a voice for marginalized communities and envisions a more equitable future.
