The Cable Office provides cable television regulation and enforcement for all cable television service customers within the San Diego City limits. The City of San Diego maintains a non-exclusive cable television franchise with Spectrum and monitors the state franchises held by Cox Communications and AT&T. Cox Communications serves the community south of the San Diego River. Spectrum serves those areas located north of the San Diego River.
