An abstract acrylic painting by Zella Dickinson, framed, 8-1/2 x 9-1/2 inches. Zella Mae Wunderlich Dickinson (1895-1982), painter and art teacher, was born in Nebraska on March 12, 1895. She painted in oils, watercolors, acrylics, pen and ink, and woodcuts. Dickinson received her art training at Nebraska State University, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles, California. Zella was a member of the California Watercolor Society, Women Painters of the West, and the San Diego Artists Guild.
