The back has 'USS Independence CV-62' and symbolic images of San Diego, including the Coronado Bridge, the Star of India sailing ship, and Mission San Diego de Alcala. This was presented by the crew of the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Independence, which changed its homeport to NAS North Island in 1989. She was decommissioned in 1998.
