Ceramic replica of Mission San Diego d'Alcala, 8 x 6 inches, 5-1/2 inches tall, with an interior electric light. A label underneath reads: 'First in the California Mission Series, 1997, San Diego Alcala, Founded July 16, 1769. Developed exclusively for Mervyn's by Midwest of Cannon Falls'. Named for a Franciscan Saint, the building of the mission was directed by Father Junipero Serra. This was donated by Gina Reilly, Public Relations Specialist, Mervyn's Dept. Store, to commemorate the sale of the replicas.
