Wooden plaque, 6 x 7, with the coat of arms of the London borough of Merton. The Kings of Arms granted the coat of arms in 1965 when Merton, Mitcham, Morden and Wimbledon merged to form the present borough. The coat of arms with the motto, 'Stand Fast in Honour and Strength' combine elements of the arms of the four former authorities. Donor's name and occasion information were not provided to the City Clerk's office.
