Lapel pin, gold, with 'Fray Junipero Serra' and an image of the Father. This was issued in 2013 to commemorate the tricentennial of Father Junipero Serra's birth, a Spanish Franciscan friar who founded missions in Baja California and the first nine of 21 Spanish missions in California from San Diego to San Francisco. This was donated by Jose E. Calzada Rovirosa, Governor of Queretaro, Mexico, during the 4-day annual California-Mexico Trade Initiative in Mexico City which Mayor Faulconer and other leaders attended to promote binational trade.
