American Forests is a national nonprofit conservation organization who advocates for the protection and expansion of Americ's forests. They are instrumental in planting trees, restoring watersheds to help provide clean drinking water, and replanting forests destroyed by human action and by natural disasters. This was presented at a City Council meeting on September 30, 2003, by a representative of the Community Forest Advisory Board.
