Chinese scroll, Nanjing Yun Brocade, 17 x 50 inches, presented in a brocade box. One of China's three famous brocades, Nanjing Yun was used exclusively by imperial houses or as gifts bestowed by emperors on princes or senior officials. Today it is still woven by hand using traditional techniques initially founded in Nanjing. This was presented to the Mayor on September 24, 2009, by Mr. Zhao Jim, Deputy Director General of Jiangsu Province, China.
